Staying Safe at the Farm

In line with CDC and governmental guidelines, over the last few days Tucson Village Farm has pivoted to ensure that we are keeping our community safe — this includes the youth that we reach with our programming, our AmeriCorps members, staff and community volunteers, as well as members of the Tucson community who buy veggies at U-Pick or the Santa Cruz River Farmer's Market. In the interest of discouraging gatherings of more than ten people, TVF has cancelled the following:

  • U-Pick (Tuesdays 4 - 6pm)
  • Field Trip Programming
  • Santa Cruz River Market Veggie Stand
  • Volunteer Days
  • 4-H HLA Programming
  • Wright Elementary Spring Break Camp

These cancellations will remain in effect until further notice.

With all that said, we have a skeleton crew at the farm going forward with our summer planting, keeping the veggies growing and working remotely to continue our mission of  delivering high-level, meaningful youth development as best we can.

Look for more updates as this situation evolves. Stay strong, eat good food, make art, bake bread, take care of one another, and wash your hands! With love and veggies,
