4-H Adventure Camp

4-H Adventure Camp

Join us on our annual expedition to Prescott where we’ll explore the highlands, marvel at mother nature and ponder the ponderosa pines on Mingus Mountain. We will be offering a wide variety of fun camp activities based on 3 different age levels, including hiking, fishing, lake swimming (with a slide!), games, campfires and more! This year we will be offering ONE WEEK of camp with more total space for campers!

Ages: 8 -14

Date: June 15 - 19

Cost: $625

Transportation fee (optional): $75

We offer transportation from Tucson Village Farm to Camp for $75 each way. We simply charge what the motor coach costs us to rent. We only have space for 50 campers on the bus, so if you are interested in getting a bus ticket, don't delay, they will sell out.

Register here for Adventure Camp 2026.

If you have additional questions that are not covered in the FAQ below,
please reach out to our Camp Coordinator Moonie at ces-tvfcamps@arizona.edu

If you don't get a ticket to either camp or the bus before they sell out please email ces-tvfcamps@arizona.edu to get on the waitlist and we will contact you ASAP if a space opens up.

Frequently Asked Questions:

No. We are a screen-free camp. Please have your child leave their phone at home to ensure it doesn’t get accidentally misplaced and so they can fully unplug and enjoy a week of adventure in nature.

Homesickness can be super challenging, and we have a wonderful team of staff and counselors here to support campers throughout the week. When kids feel like they can leave whenever they want, it often makes it harder for them to fully embrace camp and enjoy the experience. Additionally, early parental pickups are logistically challenging and pull staff away from supporting other campers. Being homesick is a normal part of camp and helps build resilience and independence.

Unfortunately, we don’t have enough seats on the bus for every camper, and tickets sell out quickly. If you absolutely can’t make the drive for drop-off, please contact Liam at liamgparnaby@arizona.edu  and we can help connect you with other adventure camp families who may be able to carpool.

Please check the attached PDF for the camper packing checklist. If you don’t have any of the supplies, please reach out. We always have extra items available.

Yes. Please make requests on the intake form via Eventbrite when you purchase your ticket. We do our best to accommodate all requests, but we can’t guarantee every placement.

We have 100 kids and only a couple of showers. All cabins have at least two opportunities to shower throughout the week. Our camp mountain is currently facing some water shortages, so we try to conserve resources when possible. We also prioritize adventure and fun, which sometimes means being okay with a little dirt.

You’ll receive an email two weeks before camp begins. If you need information sooner, please contact Liam at liamgparnaby@arizona.edu

For the safety of your camper and to ensure proper liability management, we are unable to accept forms via email. Please bring forms on the first day of camp, send them with your camper, or complete them the morning of camp. Do not send your camper without forms if they are arriving with someone who is not a parent or guardian. If you don’t have a printer, you can pick up blank copies at our front desk located at 4210 N Campbell Ave, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Full refund 30 days before the camp start date
• 50% refund up to 14 days before the camp start date
• No refunds thereafter

Yes. Please email ces-tvfcamps@arizona.edu with your camper’s name, age, date of birth, food allergies, parent or guardian name, phone number, and email address. You will be added in the order received and contacted if a spot opens up.

No. We reserve enough spots to accommodate scholarship requests. If unused, we may open additional tickets to the public. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know.

Scholarship applications open on March 2nd and close March 9th. You will be notified if you were selected by March 31st.

In past years, we’ve been able to offer every applicant at least one week of camp. We fundraise year-round to continue providing these opportunities.

Families are notified by March 31st. If you cannot accept your scholarship, please let Moonie know as soon as possible so another camper can use the spot. No-shows may affect future eligibility.

If you listed allergies at registration, we’ve already prepared accommodations. For additional concerns or medication questions, please contact Liam at liamgparnaby@arizona.edu. Please do not send outside food unless approved by staff.

The camp counselor 4-H Adventure Camp application is on the "Opportunities for Teens" page. Check there for the application, it opens on March 2nd.

Campers stay in a cabin with 8-10 other campers who are their age and gender. Each cabin has two counselors who stay with them throughout the week. Each camper gets their own bed and space to store their belongings.
