Market on the Move

Market on the Move at Tucson Village Farm

Join us every second Saturday (aside from June, July, and August) of the month at Tucson Village Farm's 'Big Farm' at 2201 East Roger Road.

For just a $10 donation, you can receive up to 60 pounds of fresh produce and food! The amount varies each month—sometimes it's even more! Share the bounty with your friends, family, neighbors, or those in need.

How it works:

  • Drive up and make your $10 donation per order (cash only at this time).
  • Pop your trunk, pull forward, and we’ll load your vehicle with prepackaged items, ready to go.

Tips for a smooth experience:

  • Arrive early! Produce is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The event time shifts with the seasons, typically running for two hours or until supplies run out.
  • Arriving later? Be prepared to wait in line while we work quickly to fill vehicles.

FAQs

Is the produce grown at Tucson Village Farm?
No, the food comes from The 3000 Club, a food rescue program focused on reducing food waste while providing affordable access to food. This is not a grocery store or food bank, and none of the food is sourced from Tucson Village Farm. However, we’d love to welcome you to our weekly market every Wednesday from 4–6 PM!

Will I always get 60 pounds of produce?
Not necessarily, but sometimes! The “normal” produce season typically starts in October and runs through mid-June to late July.

The 3000 Club receive products directly from growers and distributors, sharing with local food banks and pantries when there’s an abundance. During produce season, your MOM Box will often include more produce varieties. However, the variety and quantity can vary daily and weekly. Sometimes you'll receive more produce, while at other times you may get packaged foods and drinks.

What produce will be available each month?
We don’t know the exact contents until late Friday or early Saturday morning. Subscribe to MOM Alerts for updates, or check our Instagram and Facebook, where we share the details as soon as we can.

What if the food is expired?
Expiration dates generally indicate peak freshness, not food safety. Many items remain safe, delicious, and nutritious beyond their labeled dates. We carefully inspect all items to ensure they are in great condition and suitable for extending your budget—or sharing with others.

If you’re unfamiliar with terms like "best by" or "sell by," check out resources from the FDA for more information. If you’re uncomfortable using food with date labeling, this program may not be the best fit for you.

Why is it cash only?
Using cash helps keep fees low and ensures the line moves quickly.

Is MOM year round?
We pause every June, July, and August.
