Art on the Farm
Ages 8 - 10
In Art on the Farm camp we will combine our love of food and farm with our love of art while we explore artistic expression. Create a colorful focaccia with veggies harvested straight from the garden, try your hand at watercolor in the garden, learn how to turn kitchen scraps into fabric dye, make sun prints with farm flowers, learn how to turn rocks into paint, and much, much more! Healthy snacks are included.
This camp will take place at our air-conditioned Art Garage located at 2201 E. Roger Rd.

Pottery Camp
Ages 9 - 11
Learn clay and ceramics hand building techniques while creating one of a kind sculptures. Participants will create fun and functional works that explore natural forms. Mixed medias including glaze will be used to finish the projects. We are offering two session of this camp each day. Younger kids 6-8 years old will be in the morning, older kids 9-11 will be in the afternoon. Please be sure you are signing up for the time/age group that is appropriate for your camper.

Adventure Camp
Ages 8 – 14
Join us on our annual expedition to Prescott where we’ll explore the highlands, marvel at mother nature and ponder the ponderosa pines on Mingus Mountain. We will have a wide variety of fun camp activities based on 3 different age levels, including hiking, fishing, lake swimming (with a slide!), games, campfires and more!

Sonoran Explorin'
Ages 10 - 13
Spend the week exploring our beautiful Sonoran landscape at our new day adventure camp! You'll be traversing our high ropes course, exploring a cool cave, and heading up to Madera Canyon for an epic rock-climbing and overnight camping. Lunches and snacks will be provided.
This camp will take place at TVF's "Big Farm" located at 2201 E. Roger Rd.

Culinary Medicine: Food AND Fun
Ages 10-13
Get ready for a week of food, fun, and flavor-packed learning! Our Culinary Medicine: Food AND Fun Camp is all about discovering how what we eat impacts our energy, health, and overall quality of life.You'll dive into the world of nutrition and wellness, exploring exciting career paths in health while getting hands-on in the kitchen! Think bread-making from scratch, pickling magic, and quick, delicious meal hacks that you can take home and impress your family with. By the end of the week, you'll walk away with new culinary skills, a "Youth Culinary Medicine" certificate and tons of inspiration to fuel your journey toward a healthier, tastier future.
This camp will be at our 4-H Healthy Living Center located at 2201 E. Roger Rd. Join for an unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling empowered, energized, and full to the brim!

Culinary Science Camp
Ages 10 - 13
Science is hidden everywhere in the TVF kitchen! This will be a one-week, hands-on, deep dive into the scientific concepts behind the ingredients and techniques that make our favorite foods so delicious. Each day we will conduct experiments with both common and unusual food ingredients. Campers will use what they discover to prepare an adventurous, delicious lunch for the group in the TVF kitchen each day. Bring your burning questions about your favorite foods and we will find answers together at Culinary Science Experiment Camp.

Leaf 2 Fork Camp
Ages 10 – 13
Come get your hands dirty as we explore urban farming in the heart of Tucson. Follow along the journey from seed to plate, while learning how the climate affects what and how you eat. Campers will get to cook up some unique recipes with ingredients native to the southwest, learn how to expand their tastes, and practice responsible ways to contribute to the environment around them. By the end of the week, campers will learn skills to help garden from home, eat mindfully, and shape their future of food.

Ready to climb, swing, and soar? Our brand-new Ropes Course Camp is an exciting challenge packed with high-flying fun! Test your climbing skills, creativity, and problem-solving while navigating thrilling elements—30 feet above the ground!

Vet Camp
Ages 9 - 13
TVF's brand new camp offering in partnership with the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Discovery Camp, offers an exciting hands-on experience for aspiring animal enthusiasts to explore the world of veterinary sciences. Participants will dive into the daily life of a veterinarian, learning essential skills like translating animal behavior, body condition scoring, and biosecurity practices. Campers will gain insights into animal nutrition, tools of the trade, and practice treating injuries with fun activities like fruit suturing. They’ll also explore anatomy models, learn to build a pet first aid kit, and hear from professionals about careers in veterinary medicine. This camp blends practical skills with engaging lessons, making it the perfect introduction for aspiring animal caregivers.
This camp will be held at the Campus Agricultural Center modular classroom.

Scholarship Information
At Tucson Village Farm, we believe in making our programs accessible to all children, regardless of financial circumstances. To ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the hands-on learning and fun of our camps, we are offering both full and partial scholarships for our TVF camps.
All scholarships applications are due by March 23rd. You will be notified if you were selected for a scholarship by April 15th.
Camp FAQs
I signed my camper up for a week of camp. When can I expect detailed info about where to go, what to bring, etc.?
For day camps held at the farm or on the university campus, you can expect an email the Monday before your camp begins with all the details you need. For outdoor camps held off-campus, you’ll receive an email two weeks before camp begins.
Can I email my forms and waivers to you?
For the safety of your camper and to ensure proper liability management, we are unable to accept forms via email. You must bring your forms with you on the first day of camp. If you don’t have a printer, you can pick up blank copies of the necessary forms at our front desk located at 4210 N Campbell Ave, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
General "What to Bring" Information for Day and Overnight Camps:
- Day Camp: Please send your camper with closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, comfy clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, a name-labeled hat, and a name-labeled reusable water bottle. Please do not send snacks or food, as we provide a variety of healthy snacks, lunch, and farm-fresh treats with options available. Farm camp is a great opportunity to expose campers to new, healthy foods! List any allergies when registering, and we will accommodate them ahead of camp week.
- Overnight Camps: Look out for an email from your camp program lead two weeks before camp with a detailed list.
What is your refund policy?
- Full refund 30 days before the camp start date.
- 50% refund up to 14 days before the camp start date.
- No refunds thereafter.
Do you have a waitlist?
Yes, if you’d like to join the waitlist, please email ces-tvfcamps@arizona.edu with the following details: camper’s name, age, date of birth, food allergies, parent/guardian name, phone number, and email address. You will be placed on the waitlist in the order your email is received, and we will contact you if a spot opens up. There’s no need to email for follow-up unless instructed.
Camp tickets sell fast—do I need to reserve a spot if I’ve applied for a scholarship?
No, we reserve enough spots to accommodate scholarship requests. Occasionally, if we don’t need all reserved scholarship spaces, we may open up tickets to the public after a camp has sold out. Sign up for our newsletter here to be the first to know if tickets become available.
How do I apply for a scholarship?

When will I hear back about the scholarship I applied for?
Scholarships will be issued and families notified in mid-April.
My child was selected to be a Counselor/CIT this year—when will I get their schedule?
Our summer schedule includes coordinating staff, AmeriCorps, volunteers, residents, counselors, and CITs, so it takes some time to finalize. Interviews will be conducted from April 1-3, and the schedule will be published and released in mid-April.
How do you ensure campers stay cool in the Tucson heat?
While each camp may differ slightly, we implement several strategies across all camps to help campers stay cool and comfortable. We provide ice water stations, access to wet bandanas, staff-misted spray bottles, and large fans on our back patio. We also alternate between indoor and outdoor spaces, offering access to air conditioning and shaded areas. Campers are encouraged to take breaks inside whenever they need to cool down. Over the years, we've found that children are incredibly resilient in the heat. Our staff is trained to recognize signs of overheating and respond appropriately.
My child has an allergy I need to discuss with the staff. Who should I contact?
If you listed your child’s allergies when registering, we have already made preparations to accommodate them, including providing substitute food options. We are comfortable managing all types of allergies and food sensitivities. If we need further clarification, we will contact you at least a week before camp begins. If you'd like to discuss specific concerns, including medication and Epipen policies, please reach out to the appropriate camp coordinator.
Please do not send food with your camper unless you have been approved to do so by our staff, as this helps ensure the safety of all campers.
Can I send a phone or smart watch with my camper so they can contact me? TVF Camps are all SCREEN FREE, this gives your camper a chance to take a break from their phone. They aren't allowed at ANY of our camps.
Why do you have camp over some national holidays? For consistency sake, if a summer holiday (Juneteenth or 4th of July) is on a Monday or Friday we will not hold camp, if the holiday lands on a Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday we will have camp since we have found that it hard to take a day off of camp mid-week. We always start camps the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
Do you provide before/after care?
Unfortunately, we do not have the staffing to offer before or after care. Please ensure your camper arrives no more than 10 minutes before the camp start time to allow us to set up for the day. If you are more than 10 minutes late, please call Moonie at 520-626-5856 (or the relevant camp coordinator) to make accommodations.
