Mission and Vision:

Tucson Village Farm (TVF) is a seed-to-table program designed to reconnect young people to a healthy food system, teach them how to grow and prepare fresh food, and empower them to make healthy life choices.

A program of the Pima County Cooperative Extension and the University of Arizona, TVF is a working urban farm and healthy living center that fosters life and leadership skills in young people through agriculture, culinary education, outdoor adventure opportunities, and community engagement.

Our vision is to cultivate healthy lifestyles, wellness, resilience, and sustainability in young people, empowering them to be contributing members of their communities.

Why We Do What We Do

The world our young people are growing up in looks very different than it did a generation ago. Many children spend less time outdoors, eat fewer meals prepared from scratch, and have fewer opportunities to discover what they're capable of through hands-on experiences.

At Tucson Village Farm, we believe every young person deserves the chance to get their hands dirty, taste a tomato warm from the vine, cook a meal they'll be proud to share, care for animals, climb higher than they thought they could, and find adults who believe in them.

Because when young people connect with the land, they begin to connect with themselves.

They build confidence.
They discover purpose.
They learn resilience.
They experience belonging.

We're growing more than veggies.
