Coronavirus Update:

In order to keep your campers safe, we will be following CDC and University of Arizona, Cooperative Extension safety guidelines. Updated and specific camp related protocols will be posted on our website.

COVID Camp FAQs:

Does my camper have to be vaccinated?

No, per UArizona guidelines we can't require vaccinations.

What happens if my child comes home from camp not feeling well?

We ask that if your child is sick, you please keep them home. If they feel better and aren't showing any symptoms that you please test, they are welcome to return to camp after testing negative for Covid.

Why don't you require everyone to be vaccinated?

We follow all of the policies and procedures laid out by UArizona there isn't a mandatory vaccination requirement.

What is the protocol if someone tests positive for Covid at camp?

We will isolate that person and give medical attention as needed. We will contact the parent/caregiver on file and make necessary arrangements.

Is a proof of a negative test required for my child to participate in camp?

No, we strongly recommend taking a covid test prior to coming to camp, a test isn't required.

Is the camp staff vaccinated?

We use the same policy so there is a strong recommendation for vaccination.

If my camper gets sick, can I come pick them up?

Yes, of course.

If I can't pick up my camper, what is the protocol for keeping them safe and happy? We will keep them in the Covid quarantine area.

Are you able to transport my camper if needed?

If your camper is in need of medical attention, we will transport them to the nearest medical facility and maintain communication with the parent/caregiver.

What are your medical facilities?

We have a nurse cabin where we have basic first aid and a room to quarantine sick campers.

Is there a camp nurse on staff?

Yes, we have a registered RN who is on staff and in attendance during all camps.

Will my camper be tested if COVID is suspected?

Not necessarily, if a camper presents with temperature of 100 degrees or more, the camper will be moved to the quarantine area, parent/guardian will be contacted. If parents request a COVID antigen home test, one will be administered. Campers/staff who have been in close contact will be monitored.

Attendance at camp is a voluntary activity, we can’t promise the experience will be COVID free.
