Outdoor Leadership

Outdoor Leadership for Youth

Outdoor leadership is important in our 4-H model because it fosters resilience, problem-solving, teamwork, and a deep connection to nature. Engaging in outdoor activities challenges youth to develop confidence, adaptability, and decision-making skills in real-world settings. It also promotes physical and mental well-being, encourages environmental stewardship, and builds leadership qualities through hands-on experiences. By navigating group dynamics and unpredictable outdoor elements, young leaders learn responsibility, communication, and critical thinking—skills that benefit them in all aspects of life.

Youth do NOT have to be a member of 4-H to come on many of our adventures!

We offer caving trips, overnight caving trips, bike packing, hiking, climbing, and more.

To see what is available month to month, check out our TVF Eventbrite.
