Come to One or Come to ALL!
Do you want to make a huge sculpture out of mud? Are you curious how people have built with earth for thousands of years? Want to help create habitat for native birds?
Join us as we build an earthen birdhouse at Tucson Village Farm! We will use soil, along with straw and sand, to create something beautiful and functional. You will walk away with hands-on knowledge you can use to build with natural materials right in your own backyard.
We will cover how to make adobe bricks from scratch, how to stack them with mortar, and how to plaster the final structure. Sign up to get muddy with your friends and transform earth into art.
No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Youth 8 and under must be accompanied by a grown-up. This is a free offering, shared in the spirit of community learning and connection.
Please bring your own lunch and snacks!
