Programs for Homeschoolers
Hands-on farm learning designed especially for homeschoolers!
Spend a morning at Tucson Village Farm learning, exploring, and cooking together. Homeschool participants will get the full farm-to-table experience, beginning with caring for our goats and chickens at the Animal Education Center, heading into the growing beds for seasonal farm activities and harvesting, and finishing the morning in the kitchen preparing and enjoying a nutritious seasonal lunch together.
Ages: Separate programs for ages 7–11 and 12+
Time: 9:00 AM–12:30 PM
Cost: $50 per participant
Location: TVF Big Farm, 2201 E. Roger Road
Class Size: 10–24 participants
To help meet demand, we’re offering two homeschool programs each month, with one date for ages 7–11 and one for ages 12+.
What We’ll Do
Each program includes:
- Caring for goats and chickens
- Hands-on, seasonally relevant farm activities
- Learning about growing, soil, seeds, water and insects
- Harvesting fresh ingredients from the farm
- Preparing a seasonal meal in the TVF Kitchen
